Spring Gardening Talk
Come along to our very popular Spring Gardening Talk on Sunday 9th March from 1pm to 3pm. This is an OUTDOOR event in the Unwind with Plants garden with plenty of scope for trying out spring gardening tasks. Booking is essential via our contact page. The cost is €25 per person with tea and coffee available.
Monthly Gardening skills Workshops
Have a great introduction to gardening with a monthly gardening workshop. These workshops take place from 10am-1pm and are delivered to small groups. They will build your confidence in managing your own garden. Be creative, social and engage in gardening activities from seed sowing to garden maintenance! Tea and Coffee is available. Please bring along your own lunch. There is also a nearby cafe and petrol station where you can buy food.
Plant and Craft Course
In this 6-week course relax and enjoy table top activities from floral arrangements to seed sowing, mandalas to mood boards and planting to making potpourri. These activities are suitable year round and can be carried out indoors.
Community Garden Sessions
Join a group of like-minded individuals growing plants and vegetables together. These sessions will take place on Tuesdays 10am-1pm. The garden is on private land so please get in touch to become a member.
For our pre-school community gardeners the mother and toddler’s Budding Gardener's Club is from 9.30am - 10am on a Tuesday morning.
Community Group Activities Course
Structured group workshops take place over 4-6 weeks in the form of 1-2 hour sessions. These sessions are suited perfectly for community groups and groups in residential care settings. Sessions offer seasonally appropriate activities and are available all year round! Programmes can be tailored to suit your group’s budget and held at the garden or at your own premises.
Presentations and Talks
Presentations are usually 1-2 hours in length and can take the form of an informal talk, PowerPoint presentation or include a practical workshop. Topics are suited to the group, from seed sowing to Social and Therapeutic Horticulture as a concept. Please get in touch to discuss what would suit you best!
