David Robinson Memorial Lecture 2023
The 2023 theme was ‘The Benefits of Gardens and Horticulture in a Healthcare Setting’. Marie Hirst was invited to give a presentation detailing how the Garden Club Seasonal Programme delivered by Marie to the HSE throughout 2023 increased the well-being of those who took part. Community Garden Open Day
In October 2023 the Unwind with Plants Garden registered with Community Gardens Ireland. To celebrate this we held an open day during the first ever National Community Gardens and Allotments Week. Arklow Library Mandala Session
In July 2023 a free social and therapeutic horticulture session took place in Arklow Library. Attendees created mandalas with foraged materials to promote relaxation and mindfulness. The event was featured in the Wicklow Times, click here to read the article.
CEART Wicklow Traveller’s Group
A 6-week table top activities programme delivered to CEART Wicklow Travellers Group by Unwind with Plants and organised by HSE Health Promotion and Improvement, Wicklow County Council and Kildare and Wicklow ETB.
